Quad County Weather

Quad County Weather is a volunteer-powered service that keeps families, schools, and emergency partners informed when the sky turns dangerous. We combine official National Weather Service alerts with locally verified closures and community education—so you can make confident decisions quickly.

Our mission

Severe weather does not stop at county lines. We monitor warnings across our network, deliver SMS alerts to the counties you choose, and maintain a trusted list of road, school, and community closures submitted by staff, partners, and the public. When minutes matter, clear information should be easy to find in one place.

What you can do on this site

Built for real communities

Quad County Weather is not a replacement for official warnings from the National Weather Service or instructions from local emergency management. We amplify those messages, add local context where we can, and work to close gaps—especially in rural areas where every minute of lead time counts.
